Student Finance England’s social media pages are intended as a source of information for the general public, and as a place for the public to ask questions about student finance in England. We strive to offer useful information about our products and services, and to provide interesting and useful content for current and past students, parents and anyone interested in student finance. In order to keep this environment open and friendly, we have established the following guidelines:
1. All users of the SFE Facebook page and SFE Twitter page agree to comply with Facebook and Twitter’s Terms of Service. Additionally, the opinions and content posted to our page by other users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SFE or its parent company, the Student Loans Company Limited.
2. Any commentary posted should be relevant and respectful to SFE and its community. SFE reserves the right to remove any content that we deem unacceptable, and to block any user who repeatedly violates these terms.

Publicly posting information about your student finance or online account (for example, your Customer Reference Number) can put you at risk for online predators and phishing scams. SFE will never ask for information about your personal details in an email, text or unsolicited social media message. Please report any suspected phishing attempt to our Counter Fraud Service at email@example.com.
4. Students and customers with personal or account-specific questions can message us privately. You will be prompted to consent to a discussion about your account on Facebook Messenger or by Twitter Direct Message. Be advised that our security policy prohibits us from viewing images and files sent through Facebook Messenger and Twitter direct messages. Please note that our SFE Facebook and Twitter pages are verified. Always look for our verification tick before disclosing any personal information about your student finance.
